Supporting Our Mission
Supporting Our Mission
The Catholic Foundation of North Georgia relies on the support of our Catholic community in The Archdiocese of Atlanta to keep its mission thriving. The Foundation has established the Catholic Foundation Endowment Fund to help fund our mission long into the future. Your gift to the Catholic Foundation Endowment Fund supports the costs of providing professional services to individuals, parishes, schools and other Catholic ministries who seek our services, as well as endowment fund and grants administration.
Ways to Support the Catholic Foundation
- Give now to the Catholic Foundation Endowment Fund
- Make a planned gift now to the Catholic Foundation Endowment Fund and complete the gift in your will or estate
- Make a gift to the Catholic Foundation annual fund to support our current operations
- Keep the Foundation and all the parishes, schools and ministries we serve in your prayers

“I am deeply Catholic and I want to support Catholic things. I believe in the Catholic Foundation model, and that’s why I can’t think of a better organization to support.” – Mike Trapp
Married more than 55 years, Mike and Shirley Trapp are devout Catholics and members of Holy Spirit parish. They raised four children and have seven grandchildren. The Trapps were founding donors to the Foundation, and are members of our Deo Gratias Society. Mike was the Foundation’s first Chair and has remained involved over the last 25 years. The Trapps have seen first-hand the benefits to our local community through Catholic Foundation endowments and grants. Mike once shared with Executive Director Nancy Coveny that he supports the Catholic Foundation because we help almost every Catholic entity in The Archdiocese of Atlanta.
Shirley and Mike consider themselves to be very blessed and feel strongly about giving back to the Catholic Church through financial resources and service. In 2017, the Trapps decided to support our mission by creating the Mike and Shirley Trapp Family Endowment Fund at the Catholic Foundation of North Georgia. Mike spoke again about the gift he and Shirley are making: “Upon our deaths a significant gift will be made from our estate to charitable organizations, with the majority to the Catholic Foundation for the purpose of running this organization.”
Both Mike and Shirley Trapp have given generously of their time, talent and treasure over the years to many aspects of the greater Atlanta community as well as our Catholic community. The Catholic Foundation is blessed to have thoughtful, devoted donors such as the Trapps who understand and support our ministry to our Catholic community.
“As each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” – 1 Peter 4:10
