Françoise Lüdecke Eulitz Endowment Fund

Françoise L. Eulitz was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on February 11, 1944, the daughter of the late Friedrich A. Lüdecke and Odette Ethéart Lüdecke. Both Catholic, her parents named her after St. Bernadette Soubirous of Lourdes. Françoise remained a devout Catholic throughout her life.
 

She loved her adopted country, the United States, and especially Miami, her home of 60 years. For most of her professional career, Françoise worked in accounting for Rex 3 Printing, where she met some of her lifelong friends. She was an avid chef, master gardener, and expert tennis player. She learned tennis as a young girl, enjoyed the courts for most of her life, and taught her daughters to do the same. She was ever an athlete and loved both playing and watching sports.
 

Most of all, Françoise treasured being a daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. Although she loved working with numbers, family was her primary vocation. She deeply valued being Mom and Grand-mère and leaves a lasting legacy in her daughters and grandchildren. Her commitment to excellence in these roles is evidenced by the time and love she generously devoted to her family. She was present for countless school and social celebrations as well as daily routines and annual vacations. Françoise was steadfast in her joyful nurturing, always adding her extraordinary touch of elegance and grace. She loved to just have a good time in the company of her loved ones.

Françoise’s daughters chose to honor their mother’s altruistic and generous nature by creating the Françoise Lüdecke Eulitz Endowment at the Catholic Foundation of North Georgia, benefiting the nonprofits Project Medishare for Haiti, a charitable organization dedicated to improving access to quality healthcare for the people of Haiti with work that is community-based and Haitian led, and St. Luke Foundation for Haiti, a charitable organization that provides healthcare, education, and dignified humanitarian outreach to the least served populations of Haiti.
