Archbishop John F. Donoghue Fund for Life

After seeing the many grant requests from pregnancy care centers and other organizations working to preserve life, The Catholic Foundation recognized the need for a fund dedicated solely to providing grants for ministries and nonprofits which promote a culture of life. The fund, established in 2009, was originally called the Jeremiah Fund. Archbishop John F. Donoghue was often seen praying at abortion clinics and was well known for his strong faith. He cared deeply about the right to life and he prayed often for the protection of the unborn.

In response to the 40th anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision, Archbishop Gregory presented a $40,000 gift to this fund from the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

The Archbishop John F. Donoghue Fund for Life is currently too modest to help pro-life ministries, but like the Deacons Assistance Fund, it will grow with additional donations.
